Principal Safety Case Engineer

Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for Principal Safety Case Engineers ideally with a background in the nuclear sector to be engaged on a permanent basis across the UK with hybrid working.
As a Principal Safety Case Engineer, you will take on a role that is both challenging and impactful. You will lead the delivery of engineering and technical activities by applying your expertise, domain knowledge, and established processes.
Develop and implement hazard management strategies; actively participate in HAZID and HAZOP studies.
Prepare high-quality radiological safety assessments, including Hazard Management Strategies, Preliminary and Pre-Construction Safety Reports (PSRs, PCSRs), and their equivalents.
Produce and review engineering calculations, design basis documents, and technical reports.
Oversee the delivery of work performed by the Supply Chain, ensuring alignment with cost, schedule, and risk management targets within your area of responsibility.
Maintain a strategic overview of safety case approaches and technical solutions across projects, promoting consistency and sharing best practices.
