Section Engineer

Overview We\'re looking for Section Engineer to join our Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks team based in Culham working on the Thames Water Framework. Kier is a strategic partner to Thames Water on capital frameworks across the Thames Water supply and treatment regions. We deliver design & build services for new and existing infrastructure assets (below ground) and non-infrastructure assets (above ground). Responsibilities
Provide focused engineering support and technical assurance, coordinating between the design, delivery and commercial teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and to specification. Interpret design documentation and ensure works are carried out in accordance with the approved drawings and specifications. Support construction teams with technical queries, resolve design conflicts, and drive value engineering initiatives. Manage and coordinate temporary works designs and approvals in line with site requirements and programme. Monitor and record construction progress and provide accurate technical input to support project reporting and planning.
Qualifications
HNC/ HND or Bachelor\'s degree (or demonstrable equivalent experience) in civil engineering, mechanical, electrical, or a related engineering discipline. Practical experience working on infrastructure or wastewater construction projects, with a focus on engineering assurance. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, technical specifications, and design packages. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on technical details and site coordination. Working knowledge of construction methods, health and safety legislation, and site quality procedures. CSCS card and full driving licence. Proficiency in MS Office and construction related software (e.g. AutoCAD, Navisworks).
