Role: Senior Network Engineer within a fast-scaling business delivering game-changing connectivity across the South West. You will help keep a complex environment running seamlessly and shape its future.

What you’ll be doing

  • Keeping the network running smoothly day-to-day, resolving issues before they cause a hitch.
  • Digging into complex network challenges, leading root cause analysis, and implementing long-term solutions.
  • Designing and optimising monitoring systems and automation tools.
  • Guiding roadmap decisions and overseeing upgrades, with the chance to lead on capacity planning and resilience strategies.
  • Supporting, mentoring, and upskilling other network engineers, sharing best practice.
  • Acting as a trusted escalation point for urgent incidents, including on-call support for 24/7 operations.
  • Building strong vendor relationships and managing procurement of hardware/software.

What you’ll bring

  • Background working in an ISP or Data Centre environment.
  • Strong knowledge of modern network infrastructure and kit.
  • Hands-on experience with routing protocols (BGP, ISIS), Ethernet/IP transmission, and fibre network troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with automation tooling to streamline network operations.
  • Ability to translate highly technical concepts into clear communication for stakeholders.
  • Leadership/mentorship skills to support and develop team members.
  • Certifications such as CCNA/CCIE are a nice-to-have, but not essential.
