Senior Software Engineer (Python/Django) – Location: Nottingham (Hybrid – 3 days per week onsite)

An innovative technology company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong Python and Django expertise to join their growing engineering team. The Role

• Design, develop, and deploy backend features using Python and Django.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build intuitive, high-performance solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code across backend systems and APIs.
• Contribute to application architecture and microservices design.
• Support DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
• Ensure reliability, performance, and security across all backend services.

Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of commercial experience in software development, with a strong focus on Python and Django.
• Proven track record of building scalable web applications and APIs.
• Experience with application architecture and microservices.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, ideally AWS.
• Proficiency with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and modern software delivery practices.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, results-driven mindset.
• Passion for solving real-world problems through technology.
