In addition to being rewarded fairly for your contribution to the business, you get to work in a dynamic organisation that is agile and responsive: a business that is growing fast and where you get to drive and shape the future, a place where you are respected and somewhere you can be innovative and creative.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibilityFacilitate workshops and meetings such as risk analysis, pre-mortems, technical design workshops and requirements elicitationDesign and plan the whole lifecycle approach for complex projects and programmesTrain and advise clients in Systems Engineering best practiceOrganise and coordinate internal technical resources and third parties / vendors for the flawless execution of projects including delivery assurance and integrationOversee the effective delivery of projects, ensuring they remain within scope and budget with managed riskDelivery and management of Systems Engineering documentation, such as SEMPsCreation and maintenance of Systems Engineering artefacts such as system models, plans, requirements, integration logic, test methodologies, etc.Manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs with the help of appropriate verification techniquesPrepare reports and present them to senior management as neededMaintain strong relations with the client and all stakeholdersAnalyse and manage risks to minimise negative effect on a projectBuild and maintain relationships with third parties/vendorsPrepare and review comprehensive project documentationSkills/KnowledgeThe role requires the following key skills / knowledge, non-exhaustively:Degree level educated or equivalent experienceStrong technical ability and acumen to deep-dive into technical subject matter where appropriateExperience of working as a Systems Engineer within software, networking or cyber security domainsExperience of working in a Consultancy, large Systems Integrator or public sector organisation delivering complex products and servicesExperience desirable in delivering projects as a Systems Engineer to defence, government, national security or law enforcement organisationsStrong understanding of Systems Engineering tools, standards, techniques and methodologies including: delivery lifecycles including V-model, spiral and agile, technical risk management, trading of technical options vs risk, cost & capability, requirements elicitation and management, modelling techniques, delivery assurance, IV&V, etc.Excellent client-facing and internal communication skillsOutstanding organisational skills including attention to detail and multi-taskingStrong written and verbal communication skillsSystems Engineering accreditation or relevant project management qualifications will be consideredLocation?Mostly on client site, infrequent days working from Daintta office (Cheltenham) as required.Security InformationDue to the nature of this position, you must have and retain a minimum of SC clearance and be desirable to attain DV clearance. Strong preference is to hold an existing DV clearance. To qualify, as a minimum, you must be a British Citizen and have resided in the UK for the last 5 years.
