A well-established IT services provider based in Bangor is seeking a skilled IT Support Engineer to join their close-knit technical team. This is a hands-on role supporting a diverse portfolio of business clients across Northern Ireland, offering a mix of remote and on-site work.
Your new role
The successful candidate will:
  • Deliver responsive technical support, resolving issues efficiently and professionally.
  • Manage service requests and incidents using a PSA system, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Lead and contribute to IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations, and hardware deployments.
  • Monitor client environments proactively using RMM tools to prevent disruptions.
  • Build trusted relationships with clients, acting as a knowledgeable and approachable advisor.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and continuously develop their technical expertise.
  • This role suits someone who thrives on autonomy, variety, and direct client interaction.
    What You Need to Succeed
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a technical support role, preferably within a managed service or business IT environment.
  • A Level 5 qualification in an IT-related field or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of:Microsoft Windows & Office applicationsWindows Server (Active Directory, Group Policy, Hyper-V)Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Entra ID)Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls)
  • Excellentmunication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organisational ability and the capacity to managepeting priorities.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Bonus skills include:
  • Experience with PSA systems (, Autotask)
  • Knowledge of Intune, PowerShell scripting, or cloud-managed security
  • Exposure to business applications like Sage
