We embody our robust organizational values in our daily activities in order to maintain and flourish within an engaged workplace culture.Job SummaryThe Application Engineer will act as the primary technical liaison between Sales and Design Engineering whilst assisting with technical documentation for main projects. This role plays a key part in supporting business development by evaluating customer requirements, developing technical proposals, and ensuring compliance with technical and regulatory standards.ResponsibilitiesAct as the primary technical point of contact for Sales, ensuring clear communication between customers and Engineering.Review and evaluate customer requirements, technical specifications, and Statements of Work.Develop compliance matrices, certification plans, and technical proposals to support bids and sales opportunities.Support the definition and scoping of retrofit and new installation projects across multiple helicopter and fixed wing platforms.Provide technical input during proposal, quotation, and contract negotiation phases.Liaise with internal design, certification, and manufacturing teams to ensure feasibility, compliance and cost-effectiveness.Provide feasibility assessments for new applications and retrofit installations.Assist in the preparation of design and compliance documents for qualification & certification.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the proposal and certification process.Maintain working knowledge of aerospace certification requirements (EASA/CAA/FAA, CS-27, CS-29, DO-160 etc).Support project reviews, gate reviews, and customer meetings as required.QualificationsMinimum bachelor’s degree in aerospace, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline (or equivalent experience).Previous experience in aerospace engineering, preferably within certification or compliance.Knowledge of aerospace quality standards, certification requirements and industry regulations.Strong understanding of technical proposal preparation and customer requirement evaluation.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical requirements into clear terms.Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing.Proficiency in CAD.Experience with PDM/PLM, and ERP systems preferred.Key AttributesStrong organizational and project management skills.Able to work independently across multiple projects.Detail-oriented with a structured approach to compliance and documentation.Working Hours07:30 -16:15: Monday-Thursday07:30-16:00: Fridays(Every other Friday is a non-working day)Generous Salary Sacrifice Pension ProvisionCompetitive Company Sick Pay Entitlement9 Day working FortnightAccess to Retail Vouchers Via Perks at workAccess to Employee Assistance ProgrammeHealth 365 Access 24/7 Care when you need it most via spectrum lifeCycle to Work Scheme supplied by Blackhawk NetworkSeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionEngineering and SalesIndustries: Aviation and Aerospace Component Manufacturing, Manufacturing, and Airlines and AviationReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at DART Aerospace by 2xGet notified about new Application Engineer jobs in Portsmouth, England, United Kingdom.Note: This refined description removes extraneous postings and replaces inconsistent headings with structured sections using allowed tags.
