EUC Engineer
Position Description
Join CGI and play a key role in shaping the future of workplace technology. As an EUC Engineer within our Infrastructure Engagement West Team, you'll deliver innovative end user solutions that enable our clients to work smarter, faster, and more securely. From building advanced application packages to driving automation, you'll be part of projects that make a tangible difference. Working in a collaborative environment, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership, share new ideas, and grow your expertise while contributing to business-critical outcomes.
CGI was recognised in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work List 2025 and has been named a UK 'Best Employer' by the Financial Times. We offer a competitive salary, excellent pension, private healthcare, plus a share scheme (3.5% + 3.5% matching) which makes you a CGI Partner not just an employee. We are committed to inclusivity, building a genuinely diverse community of tech talent and inspiring everyone to pursue careers in our sector, including our Armed Forces, and are proud to hold a Gold Award in recognition of our support of the Armed Forces Corporate Covenant. Join us and you'll be part of an open, friendly community of experts. We'll train and support you in taking your career wherever you want it to go.
Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This is a hybrid position, and travel to various sites around the UK will be required.
Your future duties and responsibilities
In this role, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting end user computing solutions that meet complex client needs. You'll act as a trusted technical expert, taking ownership of packaging and deployment, troubleshooting advanced issues, and ensuring systems run smoothly across diverse environments.
You'll collaborate with project teams, architects, and stakeholders to deliver tailored solutions, while also driving automation and innovation in how EUC services are delivered. Backed by CGI's supportive community, you'll have the freedom to shape solutions, apply creativity to problem solving, and make a measurable impact on client success.
Key responsibilities include:
• Build & Deploy: Package, test, and roll out applications using MSI, MSIX, and scripting methods.
• Design & Manage: Create, implement, and troubleshoot Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
• Configure & Deliver: Manage device compliance policies and deployments through Microsoft Intune.
• Support & Resolve: Act as a 3rd line escalation point for complex EUC issues.
• Automate & Optimise: Use PowerShell and other scripting tools to streamline EUC tasks.
• Document & Share: Produce detailed technical documentation and handover materials.
• Collaborate & Tailor: Work with architects and stakeholders to deliver customised EUC solutions.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
You will bring proven expertise in end user computing, with strong technical skills across application packaging, Group Policy, and Microsoft Intune. You should be confident working independently in a remote environment while also contributing effectively within project teams.
You should have:
• Strong hands-on experience in a 3rd line EUC or technical engineering role.
• Proven expertise in application packaging (MSI, MSIX, App-V, script-based methods).
• In-depth knowledge of Group Policy Management and Active Directory integration.
• Solid experience with Microsoft Intune (Endpoint Manager).
• Strong self-management skills with the ability to work remotely.
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience creating and contributing to technical documentation.
